What we grow

Iott Seed Farms grows about 600 acres of potatoes each year with an annual yield of about 27 million pounds. The potatoes are stored in our facility on M-66 south of Kalkaska through the winter and then sold and shipped to farmers in the spring to be used as seed potatoes.

Iott Seed Farms grows about 300 acres — 20,000 bushels — of wheat each year. We sell it to King Milling Company in Lowell.

We grow about 200 acres of rye each year. We sell a limited amount of it, but the vast majority is used as seed that we plant as a cover crop to increase the soil quality on our farm.
